Emma Gerigscott was born and raised in Northern Indiana. After finishing her undergraduate degree in Art, Environmental Science, and Social Policy at Goshen College Emma travelled around New Zealand for a stint, then returned to Indiana to run a bike-delivered CSA at the local retirement home. In 2016, Emma moved to Portland, OR to pursue her MFA at the Oregon College of Art and Craft, where she is currently in her thesis year. Emma’s work is published in several magazines and most recently by Chelsea Green in The Lean Farm by Ben Hartman. She is the recipient of several small arts and writing awards and just recently finished a residency at PLAYA (Summer Lake, OR). She lives with her husband, Phil, her dog, Pi, and the ghost of Parakeet Pete (RIP, Pete).
