Emma Gerigscott was born and raised in Northern Indiana. After finishing her undergraduate degree in Art, Environmental Science, and Social Policy at Goshen College Emma travelled around New Zealand for a stint, then returned to Indiana to run a bike-delivered CSA at the local retirement home. In 2016, Emma moved to Portland, OR where she received her MFA in Craft at the Oregon College of Art and Craft. Emma’s work is published in several magazines and most recently by Chelsea Green in The Lean Farm by Ben Hartman. She is the recipient of several small arts and writing awards and just recently finished a residency in New Zealand. She lives with her husband, Phil, her dog, Pi, and the ghost of Parakeet Pete (RIP, Pete).
